A company with tradition

In 1958 Horst and Elisabeth Witte established E. Witte Metallwaren. From the beginning the range of products adressed the flooring installers. Starting in a garage, to a former horse stable to the basement of the family bungalow the young company grew steadily. In 1978 the first warehouse was build in the industrial estate “Auf dem Tigge” in Beckum.

The founders: Elisabeth and Horst Witte

In 1981 the second generation, son Michael and his wife Mechthild joined the company after their university studies of economic sciences. In 1982 the company’s legal form was changed to Witte Metallwaren GmbH (Limited). 1992 a new, much larger building for warehousing and administration was constructed in the same industrial estate.
1998 Horst and Elisabeth retired and Mechthild and Michael took over control of the company, which was transformed into Witte Metallwaren GmbH & Co. KG (limited partnership).
